
As much as I love my gadgets, I do feel guilt about their collective impact on the environment. From the amount of energy I use and the often non-recyclable materials that go into my fav devices, to all those batteries that will collect in landfills over the course of my tech-lovin’ life, I realize that my gadget addiction affects more than just my own quality of life

RIM Blackberry Tour 9630 According to a pre-order launch page for Verizon’s upcoming RIM BlackBerry Tour, a full QWERTY smartphone, the new device will be available July 12. The global roaming Tour smartphone gives users the option to connect to Verizon’s high-speed CDMA network, and while abroad they can utilize 3G UMTS and GSM networks. The Tour features a 3.2 megapixel camera and camcorder and users can save their creations to external microSD cards

Skype has updated the 3.0 version of its VoIP application for Windows Mobile smartphones, bringing it out of beta. In March Skype launched the 3.0 beta and included SMS messaging that Skype claims is more affordable than carriers while roaming. Bloomberg reports that Steve Jobs has returned to work at Apple, resuming his role as company CEO after a six-month medical leave. Jobs is splitting his work between the Apple office and home.
